Digital Preservation
Ensuring the long-term accessibility of research is a critical part of the open-access publishing process. We take the necessary steps to digitally preserve all manuscripts published in Shodhbodhalaya, ensuring their continued availability for future readers and researchers.
Publication Ethics
By submitting a manuscript to Shodhbodhalaya, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere in full or in part, and is not under consideration for publication by any other journal. The corresponding author must also ensure that all co-authors have read and approved the manuscript.
Authorship
Authorship should be attributed to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, and interpretation of the research, and who have actively participated in drafting, reviewing, or revising the manuscript. All authors must approve the final version for publication.
Corresponding Author
If an article has multiple authors, one individual should be designated as the Corresponding Author. This person is responsible for overall communication with the journal, submitting revisions, and ensuring all co-authors are in agreement with the manuscript. The Corresponding Author is not necessarily the project leader or principal investigator.
Co-Authors
All co-authors should have contributed significantly to the research work. They must give their consent for authorship, ensure their portions of the manuscript are accurate, and confirm that they have reviewed and approved the manuscript. Acknowledgements for contributions from individuals who did not meet the criteria for authorship, such as office staff or technical assistants, are welcome. Guest authors, gift authors, or ghost authors who have not contributed substantially to the research are prohibited.
Conflict of Interest
A Conflict of Interest arises when an author’s judgement about their research is influenced by personal, financial, or professional relationships. Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect or appear to affect their work.
Plagiarism
Shodhbodhalaya upholds the highest standards of originality and integrity. All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin. If a manuscript is found to contain any degree of plagiarism, an investigation will be conducted, and action will be taken according to the severity of the issue.
Duplicate submission, where the manuscript is being considered for publication elsewhere, will result in the suspension of the manuscript’s processing and possible sanctions. The acceptable limit for plagiarism is below 15%, with no single source contributing more than 5%.
Citation Manipulation
Citation manipulation, where an article is published solely to boost the citation count of the author(s), is strictly prohibited and goes against our ethical guidelines. We advise authors to refrain from engaging in such practices.
Redundant Publications
Redundant publication occurs when the same material is published more than once without valid scientific reason. Suspected instances of redundant publication will be handled according to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Research Involving Human Subjects
For research involving human subjects, authors must confirm that the study followed ethical standards set by a relevant review board (e.g., university review board) and adhered to the Helsinki Declaration (1975, as revised in 2000).
If the research deviates from standard ethical protocols, a detailed explanation should be provided. Additionally, manuscripts involving human subjects must state that informed consent was obtained from all participants.
Research Involving Animals
For studies involving animals, authors must confirm that the research followed the guidelines provided by the institution’s animal care committee or the national regulations for the care and use of laboratory animals.
